20,000 Cops on Duty ahead of PM Modi's Dussehra Celebrations In Delhi

20,000 Cops on Duty ahead of PM Modi's Dussehra Celebrations In Delhi  (X)

PM Narendra Modi Dussehra celebration in Delhi: On the occasion of Dussehra, PM Narendra Modi will grace the Vijayadashami celebration in East Delhi. PM Modi will participate in the Dusshera celebration organised by the IP Extension Ramleela Committee in East Delhi's Patparganj. PM Modi will reach the venue at around 6 pm.

Ahead of PM Modi's Dussehra celebration, security arrangement has been tightened. As many as 20,000 police personnel and paramilitary forces were deployed on Thursday.

Meanwhile, President Droupadi Murmu will be attending Madhavdas Park on the Red Fort ground to mark the Dussehra celebration event organised by the Shri Dharmic Ramleela Committee.

PM Modi will grace the Dussehra celebration being organized by the IP Extension Ramleela Committee in East Delhi's Patparganj. A police officer said, "Security has been heightened with multi-layered arrangements and anti-sabotage checks at Ramleela grounds. Quick reaction teams, SWAT commandos, and plainclothes personnel have also been deployed." 

A strict security arrangement has been done ahead of the PM Modi visit. As per the police officials, traffic diversions has been done on different routes. Proper CCTV arrangement, dog squads, and anti-drone measures are being done at nearby places.

PM Modi extends Dussehra wishes

Extending his wishes on Dussehra, PM Modi wrote on X, "Vijayadashami is a symbol of the victory of good and truth over evil and untruth. My wish is that on this sacred occasion, everyone receives the inspiration to continuously progress on the path of courage, wisdom, and devotion."

He further added, "My warmest greetings of Vijayadashami to my family members across the country."

Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta extending her wishes on X, "This sacred day of Dussehra reminds us that in life, adherence to truth, righteousness, and eternal values is the true victory. This festival inspires all of us to walk the path of dharma, duty, and humanity."
